We are seeking an experienced Advanced Critical Care Practitioner (ACCP) to join a progressive critical care service within a modern, consultant-led hospital situated in a unique offshore UK jurisdiction.

With the launch of a new, purpose-built critical care unit this year, this is a rare opportunity for a qualified ACCP to take on a highly autonomous and varied clinical role while helping to shape the future of advanced practice within a supportive and growing service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert clinical care to Level 1–3 patients as an integral part of the critical care team.

  • Perform advanced interventions including airway management, ventilation, and vascular access.

  • Interpret and act on diagnostic tests and imaging.

  • Lead on clinical decision-making and emergency treatment plans.

  • Contribute to trainee development and multi-professional education.

  • Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development.

  • Support continuity of care across shifts, including inter-hospital transfers.

Essential Requirements:

  • Registered with the NMC or HCPC.

  • MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (Critical Care pathway).

  • Completion of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (FICM) ACCP competencies and registration with FICM is essential.

  • V300 Independent Prescribing qualification.

  • Extensive post-registration experience in critical care (Band 6/7).

  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.

Desirable:

  • Competence in drug-assisted intubation (FICM OSF completed).

  • FUSIC or equivalent ultrasound accreditation.

  • IR(ME)R training.

  • Experience in clinical audit or service redesign.

  • Teaching or mentorship experience.

The Offer:

  • Competitive salary with a full relocation package.

  • Comprehensive registration and revalidation support.

  • Protected CPD time and structured training opportunities.

  • A supportive, close-knit multidisciplinary team.

  • The opportunity to help establish and grow the ACCP model within a modernised unit.

  • A healthy work-life balance in a uniquely positioned, integrated healthcare system.

This is more than a clinical job — it’s an opportunity to lead, develop, and make an impact in a system where your expertise is highly valued. If you’re ready for your next professional challenge in an environment that offers both autonomy and support, we’d love to hear from you
