Advanced Critical Care Practitioner (ACCP) - FICM
Location: Offshore UK jurisdiction (relocation support available)
Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Band 8a | £67,355 – £80,716 per annum
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Critical Care Practitioner (ACCP) to join a progressive critical care service within a modern, consultant-led hospital situated in a unique offshore UK jurisdiction.
With the launch of a new, purpose-built critical care unit this year, this is a rare opportunity for a qualified ACCP to take on a highly autonomous and varied clinical role while helping to shape the future of advanced practice within a supportive and growing service.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert clinical care to Level 1–3 patients as an integral part of the critical care team.

Perform advanced interventions including airway management, ventilation, and vascular access.

Interpret and act on diagnostic tests and imaging.

Lead on clinical decision-making and emergency treatment plans.

Contribute to trainee development and multi-professional education.

Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development.

Support continuity of care across shifts, including inter-hospital transfers.
Essential Requirements:

Registered with the NMC or HCPC.
-
MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (Critical Care pathway).

Completion of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (FICM) ACCP competencies and registration with FICM is essential.

V300 Independent Prescribing qualification.

Extensive post-registration experience in critical care (Band 6/7).

Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
Desirable:

Competence in drug-assisted intubation (FICM OSF completed).

FUSIC or equivalent ultrasound accreditation.

IR(ME)R training.

Experience in clinical audit or service redesign.

Teaching or mentorship experience.
