Head of Mental Health
Overview:
Our client is looking to appoint a skilled and passionate mental health professional to lead and shape mental health services in a secure healthcare environment. As the Head of Mental Health, you will oversee the strategic and operational delivery of services, ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality care for patients. This is a critical leadership position for someone who thrives in dynamic settings and is committed to driving positive change.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct leadership, management, and mentorship to junior staff.

Develop and implement robust clinical care pathways that are evidence-based and patient-focused.

Deliver a comprehensive suite of services that address patient needs with compassion and professionalism.

Manage inpatient ward rotas efficiently, balancing staff resources and service demands.

Lead clinical audits, service evaluations, and research to support continuous service improvement.

Offer clear clinical guidance and leadership, ensuring the highest standards of practice across the team.
Requirements:

Current NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).

Proven leadership experience in mental health service delivery.

Experience in secure or prison healthcare settings is advantageous.

Strong clinical assessment and examination skills.

Demonstrated involvement in service evaluations and clinical audits.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
