Our client is one of the UK’s leading independent providers of community health and care services, working in partnership with health and care commissioners and local communities. They are dedicated to improving patient experiences and outcomes through efficient and innovative service delivery. Their wide-ranging services include Adult and Children’s Community Health, Urgent Care, Sexual Health, and Adult Social Care. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our client’s busy Urgent Treatment Centre in Reading. As an ANP, you will be an integral part of a committed healthcare team, delivering exceptional clinical care to patients.

 

Service: Urgent Treatment Centre
Location: Reading
Rate: £45 - £50 per hour (Ltd or sole trader, with increased rates for weekends and Bank Holidays)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients in line with best practice.
  • Work autonomously in various settings, including Primary and Secondary Care, Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC), Out of Hours (OOH) services, or Accident & Emergency (A&E).
  • Lead and support the clinical team, promoting collaboration and excellence.
  • Stay informed on local and national healthcare strategies and policies.
  • Ensure adherence to legal, ethical, and professional standards of advanced practice.
  • Conduct medication reviews and ensure the highest quality of patient care.

 

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

  • Fully qualified ACP, ANP, or ECP with a recognised specialist qualification.
  • Completed Masters-level modules in Advanced Clinical Assessment & Management and Consultation Skills (or equivalent experience).
  • Registered non-medical prescriber (V300).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing minor injuries and illnesses.
  • Up to date with all mandatory training, registrations, and immunisations.
  • Possess a valid DBS check dated within the last 12 months or registered on the DBS update service.

Desirable:

  • Leadership experience or relevant qualifications.
  • Experience in paediatrics and the ability to recognise and treat acutely unwell children.
  • Experience in managing long-term conditions.
