We are looking for a Children's Deputy Residential Manager in Norbury, Sw16, to play a crucial role in the effective management and operation of a residential facility for children. This position involves overseeing daily activities, ensuring the well-being of residents, and supporting the Residential Manager in implementing policies and procedures. The Deputy Residential Manager collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children in care.

Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:

- Assist the Residential Manager in the overall leadership and management of the residential facility.
- Supervise and support residential staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Step in for the Residential Manager during their absence and assume responsibility for daily operations.

- Staff Development and Training:

- Contribute to the development and implementation of staff training programs.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure effective communication and team cohesion.
- Support the Residential Manager in performance evaluations and staff development plans.

- Child Welfare:

- Work closely with the Residential Manager to ensure the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of all residents.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided to children in the facility.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans.

- Compliance and Documentation:

- Ensure that the facility complies with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of residents, incidents, and activities.
- Assist in the preparation for and participation in inspections and audits.

- Crisis Intervention:

- Act as a point of contact for crisis situations, collaborating with staff and external agencies as necessary.
- Provide support and guidance to staff in managing challenging behaviors and emergency situations.

- Foster positive relationships with residents, their families, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers, therapists, and educators, to ensure a holistic approach to care.

- Propose and implement changes to enhance the quality of care and support provided.

Requirements:

- NVQ Level 3/5 Health and Social Care (preferably Child)
- Experience in a Deputy Managerial role of a children’s care facility within last 3 years
- Previous experience as a Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant
