Position: Children Service Social Worker
Location: SW2, Sutton
Salary: Market Related
Job Type: Contract

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Children Looked After Team.
  • Ability to commute to work (no parking on-site) and attend the office at least twice a week.
  • Resilience and commitment to providing high-quality social work support.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to determine needs and risks.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with children, families, and relevant professionals.
  • Provide direct support and intervention to children and families, addressing safeguarding concerns and promoting their well-being.
  • Monitor and review the progress of children and families regularly, making adjustments to plans as necessary.
  • Liaise with and coordinate services from other agencies, such as schools, health professionals, and community organizations.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings and reviews, including child protection conferences and case conferences.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Advocate for the rights and best interests of children and young people, ensuring they are actively involved in decision-making processes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and participate in supervision, training, and development activities to enhance professional practice.
  • Keep abreast of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, and apply them effectively in practice.
  • Respond promptly to crises and emergencies, providing support and protection to children and families as needed.
  • Uphold ethical standards and professional conduct, promoting the values and principles of social work practice.
