Job Description

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Social Workers to join our Children in Care team in Herefordshire. Contract: Permanent
Location: Herefordshire
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £33,000 - £37, 000 (plus £5,000 market supplement)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within a supportive Children & Young People in Care team
  • Ensure the voice of the child is always heard, collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues
  • Help protect and improve outcomes for children and young people

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a recognised social work degree or equivalent
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly within children’s services or care settings
  • Strong knowledge of child protection, safeguarding legislation, and statutory requirements
  • Proven ability to engage with children, young people, and their families, maintaining a child-centred approach
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from multiple professions
  • Commitment to professional development and reflective practice
