Job Description

We are seeking a Thoracic Surgeon to assess a client in an employer liability case. 

🩺 Role: Thoracic Surgeon
📍 Location: Travel required – SA33, West Wales
📅 Assessment & Report Submission: ASAP
💼 Assignment: Employer Liability – Medico-Legal Examination
💰 Pay: Market Related

🔎 Case Summary:
The incident involved a heavy pallet (approx. 26 stone) falling onto the claimant’s back, resulting in multiple rib fractures, a transverse process fracture (L1), and ongoing thoracic complications. The examination will support a medico-legal report regarding the extent of injuries and any ongoing impact.

📂 Medical Notes:
A full review of the client’s medical records is required (828 pages).

📌 Requirements:

  • GMC registration with relevant specialist experience

  • Medico-legal report writing experience preferred

  • Willingness to travel to the claimant’s location

  • Ability to provide prompt turnaround on both assessment and report
