  • Complete clinical coding requirements and documentation in accordance with Trust and organisational standards.
  • Manage referrals to acute specialties, emergency departments, or community services as appropriate.
  • Educate patients on disease prevention, health promotion, and appropriate NHS service use.

  • Prepare and complete discharge summaries for all treated patients.
  • Ensure safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults, following UTC and national policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including clinical audits, incident reporting, and governance reviews.
  • Work closely with the nursing team, paramedics, allied health professionals, and GP colleagues to deliver a seamless and effective service.
  • Support and mentor junior doctors, nurse practitioners, and other clinical staff as required.

Essential Criteria:

  • MRCGP qualification or equivalent.

  • Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List.
  • Minimum of one year’s post-qualification experience as a GP.

  • Experience using Adastra or similar urgent care IT systems.
  • Familiarity with NHS urgent and emergency care pathways.
