The Role

A busy Urgent Care Centre (UCC) seeking experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioners (ENPs) to join their dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, patient-focused environment that prioritises high-quality care. As an ENP, you will work both autonomously and collaboratively to provide outstanding care to patients presenting with minor illnesses and injuries. You’ll be a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, committed to delivering excellent urgent care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage minor injuries and illnesses.
  • Provide care for both adult and paediatric patients.
  • Use Patient Group Directions (PGDs) to administer treatments.
  • Document patient information accurately using Adastra.
  • Collaborate with the wider clinical team to improve patient outcomes.

Compliance Requirements:

  • Professional Registration: Current NMC registration as an ENP.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of managing minor injuries and illnesses, including paediatrics.
  • Qualifications: Accredited minor injuries and minor illness qualifications.
  • DBS Check: Enhanced DBS Certificate (preferably on the Update Service).
  • Mandatory Training: Up-to-date certificates in:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)/Immediate Life Support (ILS)
    • Safeguarding (Adults & Children)
    • Infection Control
    • Health and Safety Awareness
  • Right to Work: Proof of UK work eligibility.
  • Immunisations: Evidence of immunity to Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, and TB.
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance.
