About Us: ThinkLocum is collaborating with a forward-thinking NHS Trust in Kensington, London. We are currently seeking a dedicated GP interested in supporting patients in a specialist ward setting. If you're looking to take a break from OOH/Urgent Care and GP Surgery, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Role Overview: As a GP in this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical assessments and reviews to all patients in the unit, including clerking new admissions. Effective liaison with admitting clinicians and appropriate specialist referrals are crucial aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and reviews for all patients.
• Collaborate effectively with admitting clinicians.
• Refer patients to appropriate specialists when necessary.
• Participate in weekly multi-disciplinary meetings and regular ward rounds.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of patient notes, discharge summaries, and relevant letters using the System One information system.
• Coordinate care planning with nursing and therapy staff.
• Ensure all drug charts are completed correctly in accordance with professional practice.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Qualified GP with valid GMC registration.
• Experience in a similar clinical setting is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using System One is advantageous.
